Message from Ting about the Program-

 

Program goal:

To maximize all designers’ local, national and international exposure through a diverse and classy networking & fashion event. This is not a club event or any regular fashion shows you have attended. Our target audience is fortune 500 c-level or senior executives involved in the global economy with a very diverse international background. We will execute this event in the most professional manner and the most beneficial way at the upscale venue.

 

Mandatory fitting, rehearsal and meeting:

All models, production staff and designers will meet at 7:30pm Wednesday Oct. 20 at Hotel Valencia (courtyard area, 3rd floor). Designers must ensure 10 ethnically diverse looking male and female models are properly fitted for your runway segment. I’ll send a list of approved quality male and models with their contact info and measurements prior to the meeting. Please bring your pieces for final fitting and approval. The choreography style will be simple, elegant and suitable for photography and video recording. More details to be discussed at the meeting.

Note: If you’d like to bring extra models that’s not our selected list , please have them contact me for the floor model option.

 

Logistics:

The cocktail reception and networking segment will be at the trendy Vbar on the 3rd floor where guests can dine and wine. The fashion show and trunk show will be held at the adjacent beautiful courtyard. I've included some pictures for your review for those who have not been to this venue before. I’ll set up a greeting station at the front entrance of the hotel (street level) to welcome all guests. They can have either street or valet parking options. We will have beautiful brand ambassadors to usher them to the Vbar area. Also a check-in station on the 3rd floor right outside the elevator for the guest list. Along the lobby we will have floor models to showcase your collection pieces that are not included in the runway segments.

 

Food and beverage:

I’ve attached the sample menus from the Vbar. I’ll be in negotiation with them tomorrow to design a culturally centric menu for our internationally diverse guests. Please let me know if you have any preference or input on this.

 

Agenda:

2pm - production staff set up red carpets, rose pedal, flower bed, candle lights, stage, DJ booth, lighting, runway row and VIP seating areas, designer booths (please bring lots of business cards, marketing brochures and freebie gifts if any)

3pm - models and designers get ready for hair and makeup

5pm – final walk through

6:30pm – cocktail and networking reception. Designers are scheduled to mingle and receive pre-show media interviews/photography

8:30pm – fashion show (Performances will be inserted in between each designer’s segment to make sure all the garments are properly returned in the original condition and models will have enough time to change/fix makeup or hair.)

9:30pm – trunk show (optional to participate based on the selected fee package) and post-show media interviews & photography

 

Photography:

All photographers will be asked to sign a release form and obtain written consent upon your approval of the images for any publication, posting or other usage. Each segment will have an assigned primary photographer exclusively for that designer with secondary supporting photographers. The requested turnaround time is 2-7 days.

 

Misc:

All models will be asked to sign a few forms (model release, code of conduct, NDA, non-compete etc) and deliver the best runway, backstage and floor performance and behaviors professionally.

All designers will be entered into a contract to ensure your requests and satisfaction are met.

All staff will be provided with food, water and credits. Please inform me of your specific needs if any.

Seeking international male/female runway models whose native languages are Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, German, French, Hindi, Russian, Italian, Turkish, Polish, Greek, Dutch and Swedish. Ideally you could bring in one piece of your own costumes from your home country.

We will have a pre-Halloween cocktail party featuring multicultural fashion show (20-25 gorgeous international models), the latest globalization trends and different exotic food/drinks/music. We encourage folks come dressed up in your favorite ethnic costumes from your home countries and enjoy a night full of delicious mix of socializing with folks in the same or different industries in a casual atmosphere.

 

Target audience: Senior executives/hiring managers from fortune 500 companies (EBay, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, EMC, VMware, Oracle, Apple, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Tiffany & Co etc). It will be a great opportunity to network for career opportunities and job openings.
