FASHION FOR LIFE, DESIGN IS IN MY STYLE
Debbie was born in Saigon, Vietnam and grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan before making San Jose, California her permanent home. She studied Business Finance with an interest in real estate and demographics at San Jose State University. She has worked as a world wide purchasing/logistic planner in several high tech companies such as JDSU, Schlumberger and LTX where she had received several awards for reducing company operation cost. She was also an account executive at Network PCB with expertise in marketing, contract negotiations, and manufacturing. Additionally, she did involve in business fashion as an exclusive account representative in Vietnam for Sourcing Magic(http://www.sourcingatmagic.com) in 2008-2009 which helped her learn more about the fashion industry.
However, Debbie's passion lies in charity work, especially for the Vietnamese-American community, helping the less fortunate, and creating opportunities to bring together the Vietnamese people through social and professional events to promote a supportive network of associates, friends, and resources. She has been a key contributor in charity organizations such as Vietnamese American Professionals Alliance (VAPA), Aid to Children without Parents (ACWP), Asian Pacific in San Francisco, Mid Autumn Festival (MAF), VNhelp, Vietnamese Silicon Valley Network and now it calls Vietnamese Strategic Venture Network(VSVN), Friends of Hue, C & Y Club, and was the founder and Vice President of United Vietnamese Americans then later she became the President of this organiation. Her other passions includes cooking, bowling, roller skating, dancing, and playing the piano. Currently she is involved in the designing side of fashion.
Her interests are centered around desiring for charity works, promoting young generation and talented artists, and building a Model Agency for Asian Ladies in the U.S. Her goal is to bring Vietnamese American ladies into modeling in corporation and the American mainstream. Her experiences in organizing many charity events, fashion shows and working with many business corporations such as Dealership like Mercedes Benz, Products like Vodka, jewelry, cosmetology or event venue like restaurants, Clubs, and Promoters gave her ideas and the desire to incorporate Vietnamese Americans into the public eyes.
One of her biggest model project in 2007 was the VietModelProject. Run Way Nguoi Mau in the U.S www.vietmodelproject.com. After her involvement with VMP, she was invited by Calitoday to do a fashion show for this event. Unexpectedly this event lead her to explore a whole new area of career & business as a fashion designer. The end results were one of a kind outfits designed for the fashion show which lead her to a new idea of combining the East with the West. She liked to keep the authenticity of the East by hanging onto the mysterious side as well as combining it with the sexy but elegant western look. As one can tell, her designs are a type of fusion.
The Calitoday event was in Nov 2007. She has never been to fashion school except after graduating from high school, she was accepted into the University in Hollywood for fashion program, but ended up not going because her family was unable to afford for her to live away from home. She set that dream aside and went to school for business finance instead,but continued to carry it in her heart by living through other students' dreams by supporting their education through scholarship programs or talent searches.
She loves to shop just like any other woman but her shopping habits is only collecting dresses. She has bought over 300 hundred dresses through out the years without regards to the size. They range from size 0 to 10. The reason is because she admires the styles of the dresses. Today, she finally realizes that her dress obsession has helped her gain more ideas concerning fabrication, materials, and styles.
She has gone from not designing any dresses in 2007, today she even makes the dresses by herself and also she has help putting on over 20 fashion shows with her designs in two years. At the beginning of 2009, she did a show for Black History in Oakland, Parti Program, U.S. Women Expo, Ready2 Models Magazine, Ed Hardy Fashion Show, and the Xstudio. On Dec 27th, she had a successful fashion show at Calitoday event, which it held at Santa Clara Convention. Many people share their comments that they enjoyed the fashion show and her styles are unique.
Side note: recently, she found out more about her family background. Her grandfather graduated from Paris in fashion. He came back to Vietnam and operated a successful factory in clothing. The factory handled all business fashion from Central Vietnam to South Vietnam. When her grandfather passed away, the factory closed down but then her mom continued with the business. For several decades now, the family has not been involved with the fashion business. However, with Debbie's debut 2 years ago, she shows that fashion is still in her family gene.
Currently, she is an entrepreneur for a few other projects such as Oil/Energy Company Providence Energy Group and Music/Movie for Northern Five Entertainment. Additionally she has an email list arsenal that helps her and other organizations promote their events. As of result, she ended up helping her friend building portal for social networks and ecommerce. One of the social network she suggested with her former employee is Viet Models (www.models.myanh2.com)for all Viet Models. She also helped another company yippeeo to build her website portal network -ggconnections.com, That is where you can find most of her designs and upcoming events in the Bay Area and U.S. She plans to launch her clothing line in 2010. About her community activist- From 2003-2007 she created a non-profit organization callUnited Vietnamese Americans(UVA) www.uvaus.com that formed strong relationships with many organizations in the Bay Area. UVA helped out with many activities such as raising money for disaster relieves and forming a scholarship bank. UVA has given out a total of $50K in 3 years for high school and college students in both California and Vietnam. With the support and unity of the community, UVA was able to raise $150K in SEVEN DAYS to help the stranded people in Houston during the Katrina disaster. UVA also helped out with the flood relief "bao lut" from Mien Trung, Tsunama, September 11, Tran Bich Cau Case. Without her fun party throughout the year for the young professional, she would not have been able to provide $30-$35K for the orphanages in Vietnam. She has also coordinated seminars, workshops, and children moon festivals for over 100K people in the Bay Area. Her major belief is "Unity", which are the reasons why her organization is has been supporting other fundraisers in the community for many years and continues to strive for the goal of a betterment in the community.

Personality- I'm left handed so I do handle things on my left hand.Also,I couldn't even sat still..can U tell? I kept myself busy running around all the time.Even when I was an unborn baby.I already escaped out of my mom body after only 7months21 days that she carried.I came out rushing with my foot first too.They called it footing breech.I guess back then I already know I want2stir this planet..so I can't waste anytime. I do and learn things quick.. I'm either A or F no B or C in between. If you find that i do thing unusual from others, then you shouldn't surprise..But for me,.they said the things that people don't do, but you do it..then you are inventing something new for the world lol...Also, to have money is good, to gain knowledge is better ,but to waste your talent or the skill or thing you know to do it, then it's a lost of a life time. I usually do things, because I think i can do it with my creative idea and hopefully, it will contribute for better system or gain benefits for everyone. This is for fun to read..since I think you have a good sense of humor or can handle my crazy stuffs .sometimes..lol.. so there.
Yes, I just remember that I have not share with some of you this bio about me... that I wrote years ago when I got the invitation to be a guest speaker at a conference in San Diego. Later I updated more about me, when I received the invitation by Yale University to the event on April for the Master Tea Ceremony and Conference of VSA for 5 prestige schools in the East Coast which including Harvard, MIT and many others schools on a same week. They both schools did want me to talk about leadership and fundraising or share my experiences about life.
Honestly, I'm little bit nervous to speak in public with a large number of students,, but I thought just speak what i know or what i did, then that is what people want to hear..Some of my friends suggested me that talk about how I involve with organizations or start my own business..and market myself for the good causes or projects that I have been doing successful for organizations and companies.
Mmmm... so I thought.. how's about tell them how or why I post my nick name as a devil..ahaaha..I'm not sure that is a good idea or not...?.. then I thought about taking my Victoria Secrete outfit and post it on the net nah nah.. don't have the figure.. that is a bad idea to show how to do marketing, or share the love hate experience with men to the students.. that is a "no" "no"..they are too young to hear soap opera & drama..mmm ...so I come up with the idea about updating my bio. Here is the bio from 5 years ago when I get invited to do the workshop for Len Duong(Youth Conference) when they invited me to do the speech. They wanted to introduce me at the workshop with the kids...so I wrote this bio for them:-)...Now I did a minor updating..because I believe bio is a bio.. you can not change the past, but you can update the present and goal for future...lols~

Any way, I'm 21 years old with many many yearssssssssssssss experiences. My favorite signs are the devil 666. For my male friends, if you want to be my
best friend ..i hope you have one of the devil sign, please pass your info..so we can get closer..hahha. FYI...(the 3 sixes) 6ft tall,income 6 figures ..please do not provide in Vietnamese "Dong" currency, the last 6 is within your imagination....if you have one ..you think that you can make up for the other 2 sixes...everything will be negotiable
Things that I like to do:
1. I love to match all my friends together. If they fall in love for each other, then it's great. ..yeah sure..i 'll take the credit..if they are not, then it's their problem..of course i'll stay out and pretend i was never part of it.
2. I enjoy cooking so I can poison whoever I don't like or the people that hurt me. On the other hand, for the people that i like to keep, I'll cook my special recipe "love potion" so we can stay together forever hahaha.
3.Most of male friends that I "hang out"..usually are "boys". .My believe ..Don't start if I can never finish it.! Therefore most of the time, I like to keep them ..as a "slave" "toy" oopss..i meant as a "friend", or display them in a cage or pass them to all my lovely girlfriends. But if the boys are irresistible then I look but I won't
touch..because I don't believe friends with benefits.The kind of benefit people always talk about it when a man and a lady hang out togeter.Other beneficiary,I don't mind to put my name down. If for some reasons, I ended up touch..lol I will make sure ..no heart broken..or mmm. especially.if they are the one that i involved then when I'm done with them.. I''ll trash them to the girls that I don't like or dump them in my disposable list. hehhee..
4. Since I gave up men for Bowling.. warning ..Don't you ever challenge me in Bowling. Men lost to me ..they had to strip at the party,washed my cars, massaged my feet heheh..so stay away from betting with me in this sport...otherwise..just come to my house and check out how many trophies that I got for this boring sport lol.
5.Well, what else? I dedicate my time for many non-profit groups such as VAPA (Vietnamese American Professionals Alliance) and UVA (United Vietnamese Americans), ..just named a few....to help out the poor kids and students ... by brought all Vietnamese American Party Animals to make their events less bore and more wild.
Men come to my life and go. Women arrive to my life and stick forever..(Damn, can't never get rid of them)hehehe! My data base in the Bay Area in the beginning only had
5000 people..now it's increased to 15000. There are more people love me and same time they afraid to see me ....because they know they have to share their love, their money, their time to a charity event with me.
My career: in the past, I worked as a Senior Purchasing/Planner(Buyer) for high tech company. Basically, another word..I'm a professional ...plan to spend other people money for living. Then, I was in Sales and Marketing for Network PCB(Printed Circuit Boards) to sell the fabrication of the electronic parts and network with mfgs.Some times, at night my co-worker and I drive around in the van with the company logo to go clubbing.. people thought we sale the service of Network Pretty Cute Babe or Network Pretty Crazy Bitch. wink wink..:-)..Now..I'm into designing of fashion by creating the traditional dresses to the most sexiest ethnics outfits for traditional girl like me and building a connections of gorgeous geeks through GG Connections hhhahahah! Also, my other project for oil&energy with PEG to help the company to raise funds. So far I brought over a million dollars already, so they can go drill the oil not baby oil lol...& hopefully, one day i will strike rich, so I can share with everyone who needs the help with my fortune ...Otherwise, a starving artist with a big mission and goal is me...which I don't know why or how I got into a first place.lol.must be passion for action ...because of thing that I think I can do and don't mind to strive for it.
Oh well..for now. I don't care what people said! I just live my life the way I wanted and you have my whole bio.. you can do the introduction me to the kids for their role model hahahah!
