Debbie Nghiem


Debbie Nghiem is known for her avant garde and fusion of styles in her design.

Debbie Nghiem was born in Saigon,Vietnam and grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan before making San Jose, California her permanent home. She studied Business Finance with an interest in real estate and demographics at San Jose State University. Prior to design and fashion, she has worked as a worldwide purchasing/logistic planner, marketing,contract negotiations,  and manufacturing in several high tech companies including JDSU, Schlumberger/LTX, Network PCB and received several awards. In 2008-2009, she involved in business fashion as an exclusive account representative in Vietnam for Sourcing Magic. This experience helped her to learn more about the fashion industry and to pursue her career.

In December 2010, she received an award as ‘The Best Designer in the Bay Area” from Be That Kid Productions.  Also, in 2010, she joined San Jose Fashion Week& Uomo Vogue Apparel Group as VP Director and Buyer, Easter Asia for Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear, Accessories, Textiles, in Vietnam, China, and South Korea.  She has been a designer for many international celebrities, beauty pageants and models. Her designs had been featuring on many international magazines, international television channels.  She also got feature in many fashion shows  for the premier movies-Passport for Love, Fool for Love, Dust of Life,  and events for  Fashion Show with Celebrities, BET Entertainment,106 Park & UGMX, Be Rio Fashion, Friends of Hue Foundation, FYMO-Fashion Your Mind Organization, Melange Production, Tet Festival, GXBA Runway of the World,Ronnie Sample McDaniel&Xstudio, U.S Women Expo for Ready to Model Magazine, American Red Cross with San Jose Fashion Week, Chance Network Seattle San Francisco , AMDEF (Art, Music, Dance, Entertainment and Fashion) in Seattle,  Winter Wonderland in Dallas, Black History, Supper Chic,Legacy Through Living, World Journal, Tiecon Entrepreneur, Ao Dai Festival, Women Expo, Parti Program,  Silicon Valley Awards, Ed Hardy Fashion Show at SF City Hall, Winter Wonderland,  Miss Brazil-USA, Miss Queens of America, Hoa Hau SF, Models Search for Asian Artists USA, Fashion Community Week in SF, Fashion Boston Week hosted by Fashion Boston En Vogue, etc.

Her designs had been wearing by most famous Hollywood and international celebrities such as-Vanessa William, Patrice Fisher, Mariah Parks and Princess Tianna from Walt Disney, top famous 12 girl-band from China, Popstar from German-Anh Thu Doan, Miss Brazil USA-SF, Miss Philippine USA and Earth, Miss  Global  produced by Kimloi Production, and many Vietnamese and Chinese  beauty pageants and models..

In October 2011, Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame Award has selected her  for Women and Service.

Also, she is an entrepreneur for few other projects such as Oil/Energy Company-Providence Energy Group,  Music/Movie for  Northern Five Entertainment. She raised over million dollars for Oil/Energy company and  hundred thousand dollars for the movie projects. Her background also was a real estate  agent. She worked for a software company, Netdealhere and Netdeal Shop as a VP of Business Development where she brings network of fashion to technology and build a platform for an eCommerce.

Besides fashion, Debbie’s passion also devoted in charity works &loves promoting young generation, talented artists. She  has helping the less fortunate, and creating opportunities to bring together the Vietnamese people through social and professional events to promote a supportive network of associates, friends, and resources.  She  raised  hundred thousand dollars for  non profit for disaster reliefs, scholarship programs, children at the shelter here in the U.S and Vietnam. She has been a key contributor in charity organizations such as Vietnamese American Professionals Alliance (VAPA), Aid to Children without Parents (ACWP), Asian Pacific in San Francisco, Mid Autumn Festival (MAF), VNhelp, Vietnamese Silicon Valley Network and now it calls Vietnamese Strategic Venture Network(VSVN), Friends of Hue, C & Y Club.

From 2003-2007 she created a non-profit organization call United Vietnamese Americans(UVA). Since she was a founder and Vice President of United Vietnamese Americans, then later she became the President of this organization.   She has formed strong relationships with many organizations in the Bay Area. UVA helped out with many
activities such as raising money for disaster relieves and forming a scholarship program.

UVA has given out a total of $50K in 3 years for high school and college students in both California and Vietnam. With the support and unity of the community, UVA was able to raise $150K in SEVEN DAYS to help the stranded people in Houston during the Katrina disaster.

Debbie Nghiem, Anh Thu Doan-Preluder -number one girlband in German, Narada Michael Walden(is an American producer, drummer, singer, and songwriter. He was given the name Narada by guru Sri Chinmoy in the early 1970s and his musical career spans three decades, in which he was awarded several gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards. Walden has also owned and operated Tarpan Studios, a well-known recording studio in San Rafael, California, since the mid-1980s.
